Ikea is selling an adorable $10 speaker that will pair with 99 of its mates

Ikea’s incursion into technology has been one of the more pleasantly surprising developments in recent years. The company’s smart home gadgets and wireless speakers are generally affordable, carry unique designs, and perform well without necessarily aiming for cutting edge. There’s a lot to be said for that.

The company’s latest speakers are a prime example. The $10 / €5 Kallsup Bluetooth speakers, which the company showcased at CES 2026 last week, are cheap and cheerfully coloured, but come with some eye-catching features.

Chief among them, the ability to chain up to 100 of them together. We’ve never come across a speaker that offers such relatively infinite pairing capacity. Imagine the possibilities? For a mere $1,000 / €500 you can have quite the multi-room set-up. It might not sound as good as a Sonos set-up for instance, but what you lack in sonic quality, you’ll make up for in sheer volume.

If you want less than 100 of these palm-sized speakers dotted around the place (imagine having to recharge all of those?), why not opt for ten for the price of one Apple HomePod mini. Pairing additional speakers is easy enough. One the mothership is paired to your phone via Bluetooth 5.3, its offspring can be added by just pressing a couple of buttons.

We haven’t gone ears-on with the delightful little cubes yet, but Gizmodo said they’re “surprisingly nice-sounding” for a mere ten bucks. They might lack a bit of bass, as you’d expect, but the site says the Kallsup cubs can fill a room without sounding tinny or muffled.

They are recharged via a USB-C port on the rear and, beyond that pair of buttons (Play, and Pair), there’s only an LED light to signify power and pairing. They’ll be available in green, white and pink. We’ll let you know when they go on sale.
