Apple’s latest M4-powered iPad Air (aka, one of the best tablets), has only been around for a few months, but that hasn’t stopped a very tempting iPad Air deal from popping up on Amazon.
In the US, the 11-inch Wi-Fi model with 128GB storage has dropped to $519.99 on Amazon, down from its usual $599 list price. On Amazon UK, the same spec iPad Air is currently sitting at £578.99 instead of £599.
Sure, the UK discount isn’t quite as dramatic, but it’s still one of the first notable price drops we’ve seen on Apple’s newest mid-range tablet.
As for why you might want to consider it? Apple gave the iPad Air a fairly meaningful upgrade this year, and the biggest change is the jump to the company’s homegrown M4 chip, bringing a sizeable performance boost over previous Air models.
According to Apple, it’s up to 30 per cent faster than the previous M3 iPad Air, while also being better equipped for heavier multitasking and Apple Intelligence features.
The newer Air also gets Apple’s in-house C1X modem alongside the N1 connectivity chip, adding support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. Storage now starts at 128GB too, which makes the entry-level model feel a bit less cramped than older base iPads.
Design-wise, not much has changed. You still get the same slim aluminium build, edge-to-edge Liquid Retina display, Touch ID power button, and support for Apple Pencil Pro. But honestly, that’s not really a complaint. The Air already sat in a pretty sweet spot between the standard iPad and the much pricier Pro models, and, at this price, becomes even more tempting.
