Next week is Apple’s developer conference, where we’ll get a look at the next version of the iPhone software among other announcements.
But Apple’s June event is in danger of being overshadowed by stacks of iPhone Fold/iPhone Ultra leaks at present (no, I don’t know which it will be called as yet, but I’m thinking iPhone Fold). The latest leak is of a dummy unit produced to show off the device’s dimensions.
Dummy devices have been shown before and there’s no way to verify the authenticity, but the design lines up closely with earlier dummy units shared by leaker Sonny Dickson back in April as well as Unbox Therapy. It’s again a book-style folding device with a fairly slim body, a raised rear camera strip containing two lenses, and a split-shell design that clips onto each half of the folding chassis separately.
Again, it looks like two shorter iPhone Air devices slapped together. It’s even shorter than Google’s squat Pixel Fold and is also reminiscent in look of Microsoft’s doomed Surface Duo. The aspect ratio of the screen is clearly designed to mimic an iPad rather than any existing iPhone.

An image revealed over the weekend also claimed to show the device in white. The image, shared by regular Apple leaker Ice Universe on Weibo, appears to show a dummy unit rather than a functioning device, but fellow leaker Instant Digital claims that white is currently the only colour believed to be locked in.
According to multiple reports, Apple is expected to keep colour options for its first foldable deliberately limited. It’s been reported that the iPhone Fold plans to avoid bold colours altogether, instead sticking with more traditional silver, white, black and grey tones.
According to a report from French Apple site iPhoneSoft, accessory maker iFunSmart has begun listing protective cases for Apple’s unreleased foldable handset. And while accessory renders should always be taken with a generous dose of salt, these kinds of leaks do often end up surprisingly close to the final design.
Apple’s foldable iPhone should launch alongside the iPhone 18 Pro range this September and cost more than $2000, although there is no official info as yet.
