One of our favourite robot vacuums just got smaller to clean more places

The Dreame X50 Ultra Complete is one of our favourite robot vacuums. It scored a full five stars in our review, and we declared it “an unbelievably clever robot vacuum and mop that uses robotic legs to clear thresholds, offers superior cleaning and even cleans itself.”

At CES 2026, Dreame pulled the wraps off the X60 Max Ultra Complete. While the name leaves much to be desired, this looks like a robot you want roaming around your floors. The smart home brand has taken the excellent X50 dust-sucker and made it smaller so it can clean in even more places.

At just 7.95cm tall, the X60 is shorter than its predecessor, which stood a touch taller at 8.9cm. That sounds like a minor change, but when it comes to gliding under sofas, every millimetre matters. In fact, Dreame claims it’s the “industry’s thinnest robot vacuum.” It’s now able to clean in places most vacuums can’t reach. Even the navigation sensor now retreats into the body when the vacuum senses it’s heading under a low piece of furniture.

The X60 Max Ultra Complete comes with plenty of other upgrades. The AI-enhanced OmniSight system can now plan routes 200% faster and dodge more than 280 types of objects, so hopefully that means fewer late-night run-ins with rogue Lego. It’s also got mini robotic legs that can lift it over room thresholds up to 8.8cm high.

The dock’s had an upgrade too. The mop pads now get blasted with 100°C water – if you deal with muddy paw prints and toddler trails of destruction on the regular, this will work wonders. Add to that the dual-detergent system (one for general cleaning, one for pet odour removal), and you’ve got a set-up that’ll tackle anything. Plus, the new Dirt Detection mode is designed to spot more subtle filth – things like pet hair, light spills, and so on. The suction power’s been cranked up as well to clear all the grime.

The Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete is launching globally with a list price of $1700, with pre-orders open in the US now. There’s no word on global pricing or availability just yet.
