Stylish Twelve South Valet keeps your tech charged and tidy

If your new year’s resolution for 2026 is to keep your tech a bit tidier, the Twelve South Valet might just help you to avoid breaking it before January is done.

With its metal frame and Nappa leather coat, the Twelve South Valet looks like a fancy tray for leaving your wallet (if you still use one), keys and other pocket detritus in when you walk through the front door, but underneath the surface it hides some extra talents.

Most convenient is the built-in wireless charger, which means you can dump your phone down and it’ll invisibly draw power from the tray at up to 15W. It uses the widely supported Qi2 standard, so will also work with your compatible headphones or other gadgets that are small enough to align with the embedded charging pad.

Twelve South has included a ‘Goodnight Glow’, which is essentially just a light that gently pulses for eight seconds to confirm that charging has begun then fades away as if nothing is happening. Handy if you plan to keep the Valet on your bedside table and don’t want an LED shining in your face when you’re trying to doze off.

For anything that doesn’t fit the Valet or doesn’t support wireless charging there’s a built-in USB-C port, so you can plug in your Kindle or Apple Watch charger and keep everything simultaneously topped up.

Integrated cable management means you can position the Valet in any orientation that takes your fancy, plus the outer frame is removable, so if you fancy a change from the black, taupe, brown or ecru one that you originally picked, you can buy a different one to alter the look. The main leather section itself comes in either black or taupe.

If you’re in the US the Twelve South Valet will be available from 15 January for $180, with UK and European availability to follow later in year, by which point your resolutions will probably all be a distant memory.
