Ultrahuman’s latest Ring Air upgrade will cure your migraines

Ultrahuman is taking a big swing at one of the world’s most misunderstood health problems – migraines.

Shortly after adding Snore and Environment Insights at the end of last year, this new software upgrade for the Ultrahuman Ring Air (one of the best smart rings around) adds migraine tracking and prevention tools via a feature called ‘Migraine PowerPlug’.

Why migraines? Migraines affect more than one billion people worldwide, hitting around 15 to 20-percent of the global population.

Women bear the brunt, experiencing migraines at nearly three times the rate of men, and for those aged 15 to 49, it’s the leading cause of disability. There’s no cure, but better daily management can make a huge difference – which is where Ultrahuman thinks wearables can help.

How does the Migraine PowerPlug work?

The Migraine PowerPlug is built in partnership with digital therapeutics specialist Click Therapeutics and is based on FDA-authorised technology originally developed for its prescription digital migraine treatment, CT-132. Ultrahuman has adapted that clinically validated approach for its app, combining it with the Ring Air’s biomarker tracking to spot patterns linked to migraine risk.

Rather than just logging headaches, the PowerPlug looks at changes in sleep, HRV, stress and movement to flag potential triggers. From there, it offers personalised, evidence-based guidance designed to help users reduce frequency and severity over time. Think tailored sleep targets, activity goals and even hydration suggestions, all shaped around your own data.

There’s a clear focus on women’s health, too. Hormonal fluctuations are closely linked to migraine patterns for many people, and Ultrahuman says its broader cycle and hormone insights can help users better understand how those shifts affect migraine risk.

Migraines are often managed through occasional clinical visits, so the Migraine PowerPlug should offer more convenient care plan.

Can’t wait to sign up? The Migraine PowerPlug is set to launch in early 2026 following a pilot phase, with availability planned across the US, UK, EU, India and Australia.

The pricing is still TBD, but Ultrahuman’s PowerPlugs typically sit between free and US$7/£6 per month.
