Roku has announced its first OLED televisions running the RokoOS software, making its intentions to build from the affordable market into the premium arena.
The new Roku Pro Series OLED and Roku Pro Series LX OLED television sets see Roku level-up from QLED and Mini-LED TV sets, while including all of its recent software advancements like Roku Smart Picture Max, which automatically adjusts settings to what you’re watching.
The TVs start at $999 and are exclusive to Amazon in the United Sates initially, starting from today. You’ll be getting OLED for less and it gives the likes of Samsung, LG and Sony something to think about as they plot mid-range sets for 2027.
The Roku Pro Series OLED comes in 55-inch and 65-inch incarnations and arrives with most of what you’d want from an OLED set along with those deep, deep blacks. There’s 120Hz panel, support for must-have gaming features like FreeSync Premium and variable refresh rate, and four HDMI 2.1 ports for your consoles, audio products and streaming devices. Dolby Vision and HDR10+ are along for the ride also. Roku is also introducing a helpful remote finder button on the on the television itself, while the remote control also has a backlight.
Roku isn’t revealing too much about the Pro Series LX, but it will be available in October and comes with a starting price of $1,299 in 55-inch and 65-inch sizes. It’ll deliver a higher 144Hz refresh rate and an even brighter picture, Wi-Fi 6, and a voice remote that can be recharged. Nice.
