If you’ve been looking to snap up one of the best laptops, there’s an Apple MacBook Pro discount on Amazon that’s definitely worth your attention.

The 14in MacBook Pro with Apple M5 Pro chip, 24GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD has dropped to $1999 on Amazon, down from $2199. That’s a $200 saving, and the lowest price we’ve seen on Amazon so far.

And if you’re in the UK, the same model is also discounted to £2004, down from £2199 – a solid saving.

It’s not just the smaller model, either. The 16in version with the same M5 Pro setup is also down to $2499 (from $2699), which again marks a new low for that configuration. In the UK, that model has dropped to £2390, down from £2699.

As for why this MacBook Pro discount a good deal? Well, for starters, Apple’s move to its M5 generation processor brought a healthy performance bump. The standard M5 chip introduced around a 20 per cent uplift in multi-core performance over M4, along with stronger graphics and significantly faster AI processing thanks to an upgraded Neural Engine. That gives a good indication of the kind of gains Apple is targeting with this generation overall.

That extra power isn’t just for benchmarks, either. With improved AI acceleration and higher memory bandwidth across the M5 family, machines like this are better equipped for demanding creative workloads, multitasking, and whatever Apple has planned next for on-device AI features.

Battery life remains a strong suit, too. Apple quotes up to 24 hours, and while real-world use is likely closer to around 16–18 hours, these machines are still among the longest-lasting performance laptops around – which makes a difference if you’re working on the go rather than tethered to a plug.

Apple hasn’t overhauled the design, but the current MacBook Pro chassis is already one of the best in the business, with a premium build, excellent display, and a generous port selection.

Deals on newly released MacBook Pro models don’t come around all that often, so if you were already considering an upgrade, this MacBook Pro discount is about as good a time as any to pull the trigger.
