Girard-Perregaux is celebrating 50 years of the Laureato with the Laureato Fifty – four new watches in 39mm and 36mm with elevated finishing and exceptional dial executions, all powered by the new in-house Calibre GP4800.

The Laureato has always been about proportion and coherence over statement-making, and the Laureato Fifty carries that ethos further than any generation before it, adding a new 36mm size alongside the 39mm introduced last September.

It brings a new level of dial-making and movement finishing, aiming to reposition itself as a serious Haute Horlogerie contender.

The 39mm blue enamel dial is the real star of the show. Enamel has never appeared in the Laureato before. Applied over the signature Clous de Paris hobnail texture entirely in-house, it creates a dial with genuine visual depth – shifting between transparency and shimmer as the light moves.

A second 39mm variant takes the rose gold-toned dial route, the warmth of the precious metal surface using the same textured motif.

The 36mm should feel immediately more elegant, with the reduced proportions sharpening the geometry. The standout is a mirror-finished silver dial paired with a 64-diamond bezel.

Underneath all four references sits the in-house Calibre GP4800. It runs at 4Hz, holds around 60 hours of power, and draws its architecture from Girard-Perregaux‘s Three Bridges tradition.

Exclusively for the Laureato Fifty, the balance bridge is finished in rose gold – visible through the sapphire caseback. Ten distinct surface treatments run across the movement.

Wearability has been treated as seriously as looks. The Laureato Fifty brings softer bracelet integration, a micro-adjustment clasp system, and a general attention to how the watch sits on the wrist.

The Girard-Perregaux Laureato Fifty watches are available now, priced from $23,100 in the US and £18,200 in the UK.
