If you’ve been trying to track down MacBook Neo stock during the supply shortages, there’s good news. While Apple is still quoting lengthy delivery windows, retailers like Amazon and Walmart in the US are offering much quicker ways to get one of the best laptops into your hands, MacRumors reports.
At the time of writing, ordering directly from Apple means waiting around two to three weeks for delivery in the US and many other regions – the MacBook Neo was effectively sold out through April, with deliveries slipping into early May and beyond. And demand hasn’t cooled off.
Thankfully, Amazon US and UK are listing every MacBook Neo model as available, with delivery as early as May – and same-day shipping in select locations for Prime members – along with small discounts of around $9. Walmart, meanwhile, isn’t cutting prices, but is matching those faster delivery estimates (depending on your location), with some orders arriving as soon as the next day.
It’s easy to see why the MacBook Neo is so popular. It earned a well-deserved five stars in our review, and a lot of that comes down to its aggressive starting price – $599 / £599 for the base 256GB model – paired with performance that comfortably clears the bar for everyday use.
As for the delays, they’re likely due to the MacBook Neo’s binned versions of Apple’s A18 Pro chip. Apple can only build as many units as it has suitable chips available, which limits how quickly it can respond to surging demand.
Behind the scenes, Apple is reportedly trying to catch up. For now, though, if you want reliable MacBook Neo stock, there are a few retailers who can, quite literally, deliver.
