Minus a modicum of fanfare, the OnePlus 4 Watch smartwatch has been announced and it sounds like it’ll be another solid entry for smartwatch fanciers rocking Android smartphones.

We haven’t seen a press release yet, but OnePlus has posted the lowdown on its website. The OnePlus Watch 4 arrives with Wear OS 6 doing the heavily lifting with support for Google Gemini. The eighth major version of Oxygen OS Watch will be the front-facing user interface.

From a hardware standpoint, the wearable has a titanium body and a 47mmm watch face. The display itself is LPTO OLED and can muster peak brightness of 3,000 nits in a new sports mode. That should be enough to be visible in the blazing sun of the summer months. Sapphire Glass covers the 310PPI screen.

The same Snapdragon W5 processor has been charged with keeping things ticking over, while there’s 32GB of storage and 2GB of RAM on board for your tunes and any apps. That’s the same as the previous two generations, but there’s still no LTE model.

Battery life is rated as three days with heavy usage. There are some hardware improvements, like the IP69 water and dust resistance rating and a slightly lighter footprint.

The device will be available in Evergreen Titanium and Midnight Titanium, but OnePlus is yet to reveal the pricing and availability. Given the specs, we’d expect the price to align closely with the  $330 / £319 / €349 of the previous generation.

While the changes don’t feel that significant, OnePlus probably didn’t have to change a lot. Our reviewer gave the OnePlus Watch 3 a perfect five star score, praising the outstanding battery life, slick styling inspired by traditional timepieces and greater health tracking tech.

“If the Watch 2 was OnePlus hitting its stride, then Watch 3 must be a victory lap. This is a simply superb wearable, with the best battery life of any Wear OS watch I’ve tried,” our reviewer wrote. “The larger screen is a treat for the eyes, the styling is subtly yet meaningfully improved, and the functional crown has been a long time coming.”
