Google is expanding its Quick Share feature, which allows Android users to quickly and easily exchange files with iPhone users via AirDrop, is expanding to more Android devices.
In its most recent Android Drop announced today, Google revealed it is expanding the feature to more devices beyond lots of Samsung and Pixel phones. There’s a series of OnePlus, Honor, Oppo, and Huawei phones in the mix with a new trio coming soon. They include the new 2026 Motorola Razr Fold.
“It’s easier than ever to share files between select Android phones and iPhone devices. Quick Share now works with AirDrop on more Android devices, so you can securely send photos, videos and documents to friends and family regardless of what device they use — with or without an internet connection,” Google says in a blog post.
“From vacation pics to concert videos and travel documents, share back and forth with iPhone friends, so no one’s left out. Sharing to iPhone has never been smoother.”
It’s a nice interoperability feature that brings Android and iPhone users a little closer together and eventually it’ll mean the question “do you have an iPhone?” when I’m trying to send them a photo or a contact or a file.
