Accessory-maker Satechi has debuted three accessories specifically made for Apple’s popular MacBook Neo laptop.
Crucially for gear that’s designed to go with the Neo, they’re available in different hues to match the laptop.
Coming in citrus, blush, indigo and silver, there are two new hubs to expand the connectivity of the Neo, with the $45/£45 OntheGo 5-in-1 Multiport Adapter and $45/£45 USB-C Snap Hub. Then there’s the $30/£30 Slim EX Wireless Mouse, a sleek rodent previously available and now, like the hubs – offered in Neo colors.
The OntheGo hub expands the Neo’s port offering significantly, using a single USB-C port on the Mac to connect to 4K 60fps HDMI, 60W passthrough USB-C charging (you have to have a compatible charger), an SD card reader and other USB-C and USB-A data ports. It’s circular and can be stuck to the Neo’s lid if you wish using an included sticky pad.
The USB-C Snap Hub is a little different and is my pick of the bunch. It attaches to the side of the Neo, using both USB-C ports and gives you a 4K/60Hz HDMI port, USB-A data, USB-C data, SD and microSD card ports plus 45W passthrough charging. Both hubs bring the Neo’s connectivity up towards the capabilities of the MacBook Pro, even though the charging speeds are slower.

Finally, the Slim EX Wireless Mouse uses a USB-C rechargeable, user-replaceable battery and is compatible with two Bluetooth channels. Like the hubs, it can be used with all devices and not just the Neo – though the USB-C Snap Hub is only compatible with MacBooks that have dual-USB-C ports side-by-side.

“With the MacBook Neo Collection, we’re giving Neo users more of what their Mac can actually do: more ports, more connectivity, and more functionality,” said Brock Guclu, Satechi’s co-founder and president. “MacBook Neo is Apple’s most affordable laptop to date, and we wanted our accessories to reflect that same accessibility without compromising on… design and color.”
