Pokémon turns 30 this year, and Casio’s marking the occasion in the best way (in my opinion) possible: a chunky, colourful G-Shock.

The G-Shock x Pokémon GA-110PKM-7A watch is out today, and it’s packed fully of fun little Pokémon easter eggs.

Casio’s taken the classic GA-110 case and dressed it in red, blue, and green. That’s the same colour palette from Pokémon’s original 1996 Gameboy release (I had Blue).

It’s a clever bit of nostalgia. Those three colours are burned into the brain of anyone who grew up with a Game Boy Colour.

The fun continues at 9 o’clock, where an inset dial is shaped like a Poké Ball. Its indicator hand is styled after Pikachu.

I love a watch that doesn’t take itself too seriously, and this one absolutely doesn’t do that.

The real fun is onthe strap, however. Casio’s squeezed 30 Pokémon onto the band, one for every year of the franchise.

You get three first partner Pokémon from each generation, running from Kanto right through to Paldea. Add Pikachu and Eevee, and that’s 29 sorted.

Mew, the Mythical Pokémon that debuted in 1996, lands the final spot on the band loop.

Turn the watch over and there’s a special 30th-anniversary Pokémon logo engraved on the case back, but strip away the theming, and it’s still very much a G-Shock underneath.

You’re looking at shock resistance, 20-bar water resistance, world time across 48 cities, a 1/1000-second stopwatch, a countdown timer, five daily alarms, and auto LED lighting.

It measures 55 x 51.2 x 16.9mm and weighs 72g, so it wears with the same chunky presence as any other GA-110.

The standout feature, though, for me, is the box. It’s shaped like a Pokéball, with all 30 Pokémon printed inside.

Now, the bit you actually came for: how to buy it.

The GA-110PKM-7A has gone live today, but Casio’s running it through a sign-up system rather than a straightforward add-to-cart.

Head to Casio’s website, pop in your details, and you’ll be notified the moment stock becomes available to purchase.

It’ll cost $270 in the US and £220 in the UK.

Buy the G-Shock x Pokémon GA-110PKM-7A in the US below:

Given the Pokémon name on the box, and G-Shock’s history of collabs disappearing fast, I wouldn’t wait around to sign up.
