Girard-Perregaux has unveiled its first two watches made with Atlassian Williams F1 Team. They’re called the Laureato Williams Edition 42mm and the Laureato Chronograph Williams Edition 42mm.
This is the first fruit of a new partnership between the two, and as a big Williams fan, I’m thrilled they’ve finally landed a proper watch sponsor (it’s been a few years).
Both watches are built on the Laureato, Girard-Perregaux’s octagonal-bezel icon that’s been around since 1975 (which happens to be two years before Williams even entered F1).
What I like about these watches is that they’re subtle – at first glance you wouldn’t necessarily know they’re tied to F1.
The blue “Clous de Paris” dial is inspired by the team’s 2026 FW48 car, red accents echo the car’s keyline, a discreet Williams “W” sits at 12 o’clock, and there’s a Williams emblem on the sapphire case back.
The standard Laureato Williams Edition houses the GP1800 calibre. It’s a 191-part automatic movement with hours, minutes, small seconds and date. Power reserve is a healthy 54 hours.
The Chronograph version steps things up with the GP3300 calibre. It’s got 419 components and adds a chronograph function on top of the time and date. Rhodium-plated rings frame the three counters, giving it a sharper, more technical look than its sibling. Power reserve on the chronograph is a minimum of 46 hours.
Both movements are visible through the sapphire case back, finished with Côtes de Genève, circular graining and mirror polishing.
Both watches share the same core specs. They’re 42mm steel cases with sapphire crystals and 100 metres of water resistance. That means these are genuinely wearable everyday watches, whether you’re in the office or the paddock.
You can already see Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon rocking them in promo images and at the upcoming Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Girard-Perregaux calls this “the beginning of a long collaboration” and I’m very excited for more Williams editions to follow (hopefully slightly smaller in diameter, next time around).
The Laureato Williams Edition 42mm is available now priced at US$16,200 / £12,800, while the Laureato Chronograph Williams Edition 42mm comes in at US$20,900 / £16,500.
