Vodafone SuperMobile is a new 5G+ tier coming to the mobile network which will have a premium price.

SuperMobile will give you enhanced performance (up to 600 GB) for high-bandwidth activities like streaming, live TV and gaming. It’ll be up to 4x faster than Vodafone’s standard plans, it seems.

Contract Vodafone customers can now experience Vodafone SuperMobile for £3 per month more than full-speed Xtra plans, £8 more on SIM-only 100mbps plans, £4 more on handset 100mbps plans, and as a rolling monthly add-on for £12.

It’s available on compatible airtime plans and devices and will mean you can get faster data speeds on your phone and network prioritisation over other users. Interestingly, Vodafone will give you a guaranteed minimum download speed as part of the deal which is set at 15mbps, presumably as long as you’re in a 5G+ area. Vodafone says it is the only network operator globally to be able to guarantee this.

The service uses what Vodafone calls 5G+ FastTrack. This combines four advanced network technologies including ‘network slicing’ which is essentially the abilty to create a dedicated part (or slice) of the network for particular customers.

Vodafone says it is now able to offer the service after its merger with Three because it has apparently been able to elimiate dead spots and improve its 5G+ network. The network says it has expanded the UK’s 5G+ population coverage from 46% to 60% and it has committed to expand this to 99.96% by 2034.
