Jaeger-LeCoultre has announced five new additions to its Reverso Tribute Monoface ‘Or Deco’ series, building on last year’s well-received pink gold watch.

The headline arrivals are the Or Deco Cocktail trio – gem-set versions of the Reverso Tribute Monoface Small Seconds in 18K pink gold with rubies, and 18K white gold with either emeralds or blue sapphires.

Each is limited to just 30 pieces, and are absolutely stunning.

The stones are baguette-cut and set using rail setting, a technique perfected in the 1930s that creates an unbroken ribbon of colour along the case. It’s fiddly, painstaking work, and on the emerald version especially, the precision required is extraordinary given how fragile the stone is.

Completing the gem-set trio is a cleaner, cooler option. The Or Deco Small Seconds now comes in 18K white gold alongside the original pink gold.

The monochromatic effect, silvery-grey grained dial against polished white gold case and Milanese bracelet, is very understated.

This one is limited to 200 pieces, making it the most accessible of the new releases.

The fifth model is perhaps the most interesting. The Or Deco Solo Tempo drops the small seconds subdial entirely and shrinks the case to 40.1 x 24.4mm, making it closer to the dimensions of the original 1930s Reverso than anything JLC has offered in recent memory.

It’s unisex by design and arguably the most wearable watch in the lineup.

All five models run on the hand-wound Calibre 822, shaped to fit the rectangular case and built entirely in-house. It offers a 42-hour power reserve.

The Milanese bracelet deserves a mention, too. JLC didn’t just clip an off-the-shelf mesh to an existing case – each bracelet required more than 10 metres of gold wire to construct, and a custom attachment link was developed to integrate it seamlessly with the case.

Availability will be through Jaeger-LeCoultre boutiques and authorised retailers.
