Bambu Lab makes the best, most accessible 3D printers yet, but that reputation is suddenly under siege. It all started when Paweł Jarczak received a private message from the company on Reddit asking him to delete his code. Now the 3D printing community is lining up behind Jarczak to fund a war against Bambu — and the future of 3D printers could be at stake.Jarczak is a developer who shared a way to let people remote control their Bambu printers without using Bambu software. But Bambu wanted to lock down its system, despite relying on open-source code. That provoked a…
Meta has reportedly notified thousands of employees that they’ve been laid off as the company attempts to compensate for its hefty AI investments. In an email from Meta management shared by Business Insider, impacted staffers were told that the planned headcount reduction was part of the company’s “continued effort to run the company more efficiently and to allow us to offset the other investments we’re making.”Reports of an upcoming wave of layoffs started circulating in March, though at that time Meta was believed to be cutting up to 20 percent of its total company headcount. According to a recent memo…
Introduction I last sat behind the wheel of the Peugeot 408 way back at the tail-end of 2022. Back then, the cracking design was jungle fresh and felt really good to drive. Slightly less impressive was the plug-in powertrain, which is where this, the new Peugeot E-408 feels just right thanks to its electric arrangement. However, Peugeot is catering for all types of buyers though, because the 408 is also available as a hybrid and there’s still a plug-in too. What’s more, there’s plenty to differentiate these new variants from the old, with exterior design tweaks to the fastback stance…
Introduction Sendy Audio is essentially the Lexus to Sivga’s Toyota; the sub-brand’s wired headphones are aimed at a more upmarket audience, with designs and materials that match the primo driver tech inside. The Egret embodies that, with hand-crafted wooden enclosures that house the firm’s largest ever planar magnetic drivers. At $799 the wired, fully open-back cans are by no means a pocket money purchase, but land at the more reasonable end of the planar spectrum – a sensible move, seeing how the firm isn’t as well known outside of China as rivals Audeze, HiFiMan and Meze Audio. Given its strong…
The SpaceX IPO is here, and it’s more than just an historic public offering that could make Elon Musk the world’s first trillionaire. It also reveals more ways in which Elon Musk’s companies interact and overlap with each other, shuffling money around in ways that are often difficult to keep track of.This is evident in ways that are both obvious and less so. A CTRL-F search for “Tesla” yields 87 results, xAI is mentioned 356 times, and X 267 times. Even the Boring Company (7 times) and Neuralink (3) get a few mentions. Throughout its 330 pages of rocket launches…
SpaceX generated $18.67 billion in revenue in 2025, driven largely by its Starlink satellite internet service, which brought in more than $11 billion, as reported by The Wall Street Journal. The company lost over $4.9 billion last year, with capital expenditures soaring to $20.7 billion last year, a leap from $11.2 billion in 2024, as reported by The New York Times. xAI, which recently merged with SpaceX, lost billions last year, while growing revenue by 22 percent, according to TechCrunch.According to the WSJ, Musk’s supervoting shares will give him 85 percent control over the company. In addition to Musk, SpaceX…
Marshall’s large over-ear Monitor III A.N.C headphones are really rather great, but not everyone wants such chunky cans. They do want noise-cancelling, though, so Marshall has brought the feature to a lighter set of headphones. Similar in shape to the Marshall Major V, the new Milton series (presumably named after Milton Keynes in Marshall’s usual style rather than the sterilizing fluid). The key selling point of the new pair is that they have 50 hours of battery life with noise cancelling turned on – that’s double that offered by Sony’s newly-announced 1000X The Collexion headphones. Noise cancelling is provided via…

The slew of announcements at Google I/O meant a few things from the annual keynote flew under the radar, amid a deluge of Gemini-based features. One of those was a good, old-fashioned piece of software design ingenuity for Android device users. Android 17 will introduce a new ‘Continue On’ feature that finally gives Google-based users the opportunity to easily pick up tasks on other devices, like a tablet for instance. “Continue On enables users to start an Android app on one Android device and then transition to another device in their Android ecosystem, continuing the user journey they started,” Google…

Apple has announced new accessibility features that use Apple Intelligence AI to make life a little easier for people with vision, hearing and physical difficulties. The new features, which will arrive as part of iOS 27 later this year, centre around the existing VoiceOver, Magnifier, Voice Control, and Accessibility Reader. Furthermore, Apple has announced its Vision Pro headset can be used to steer a powered wheelchair using their eyes. This option is designed with people who aren’t able to steer with a joystick. “Leveraging the precision eye-tracking system on Apple Vision Pro, a new power wheelchair control feature offers users…
If you choose to get an extra controller for your Nintendo Switch 2, you can spend a lot — and get a lot in return. Buying Nintendo’s own $89 Switch 2 Pro Controller, for instance, will net you the console’s only wireless controller with a 3.5mm headphone jack for private listening, not to mention great-feeling rumble and a slick design. It’s not perfect, but it’s otherwise the total package in terms of features. But it’d be a disservice to you to call it a day there. There are several third-party models that are cheaper, yet don’t make many compromises in terms…
